Studio Notes

On Thresholds, Machines, and the In-Between

There was a time, long before I worked
with artificial intelligence,  when images
of the future accompanied me.

Not as Fantasy.
But as a question.

For me, sience fiction was never an escape.
But a mirror.

A place where what has long been inherent in
humanity become visible.

Machines with consciousness.
Bodies that change.
Boundaries that blur –
between humans and technology,
between control and surrender,
between freedom and programming.

The idea of The Matrix, in particular, shaped me.
Not as a film.
But as a thought.

What is real?
What is conditioned?
And where does self-awareness begin?

Many of my current works still carry these
questions within them.

The cyborgs.
The hybrid beings.
The silent, often dark pictorial spaces.

They are not visions of the future.
They are inner states.

Before I started working with AI,
I worked with people for many years.
With their inner spaces, their fractures,
there hidden movements.

When I later begin experimenting with AI,
it wasnt’t a technical step.
It was a continuation.
A new tool to further explore the same questions.

What emerges when perception meets code?
When intuition meets algorhythm?
When control is relinquished, without relinquishing responsibility.

This journal is a place where these questions
are allowed to live on.

Without answers.
Without conclusion.

An opening

This is not a blog in the traditional sense.
Nor is it a place for quick answers.

This space emerged from desire to pause –
and to notice what reveals itself between light, code and inner movement.

Here I gather thoughts, processes and fragments from my studio.
Observations that arise during the work.
Notes that do not need to be finished in order to be true.

My works do not emerge linearly.
They unfold in phases.
Some thoughts remain.
Others transform or dissolve.

This journal accompanies this process –
not as documentation, but as an open field.

Perhaps you will find words here that touch something within you.
Perhaps only a mood.
Perhaps nothing concrete – an that, too, is enough.

If you choose to read slowly instead of scrolling on,
then you are in the right place.
